BB your way - The Old Vic Guest House

The Old Vic Guest House

BB your way - The Old Vic Guest House

The Chalk Family would like to welcome you to their highly recommended family run guest house. We have been the owners of The Old Vic for over 17 years and our aim is for you to have a comfortable and relaxing enjoyable stay.

The "Old Vic" meaning Old Victorian is a 19th century town house tastefully decorated to a high standard.

The Old Vic is ideally situated just minutes away from Yorks Medieval Streets and major tourist attractions which can be reached by taking a leisurely stroll along the pleasant Riverside Walk.

York has so much to offer everyone, why not saunter around the 2 1/2 mile long "Bar Walls" surrounding our magnificent city or for a more relaxing alternative take a scenic river trip or an open top bus tour. You could also try a ghost walk around the city.

There are plenty of museums to choose from including York Castle Museum, The National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre not forgetting York Minster with its spiral staircase to the roof and the under-croft to explore.

There are also guided walks or meander through the "snickleways" and the famous "shambles" a cobbled street filled with gift shops and souvenirs.

If museums are not your thing there are plenty of shops, antique shops and the indoor McArthur Glen Designer Outlet and restaurants, cafes, cinemas etc.

The Old Vic is also ideally situated for York Race Course, York University and Fulford Golf course.
