BB your way - Southgate - Little Fowlers

This large old Kentish House B & B is situated on the edge of the historic Wealden village of Hawkhurst, once famous for smuggling. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and many famous attractions.

The house, Grade II listed, was originally the Dower house to a nearby mansion - Fowlers Park. Formerly, it was a farmhouse when built around 1690 and has later Victorian additions, including the magnificent drawing room and adjoining conservatory.

As it is our family home, we take pride in our high standard of bed and breakfast accommodation. Although it is a spacious house, we only accommodate up to six guests. We are, therefore, able to take time helping you to plan your days out and to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Apart from visiting the many places of interest around us, you may also be interested in:
Golfing, fishing, horse riding, cycle hire, or even hot air ballooning over Kent and Sussex. We are happy to send you details or make a booking for you.

Garden enthusiasts - as keen gardeners ourselves, we are pleased to recommend the lesser known gardens to visit and many specialist plant nurseries in the area.

Antique shopping - we have good knowledge of the many shops in the area as we enjoy collecting antiques ourselves.

Walking - there are many footpath walks in Hawkhurst and the surrounding villages taking you through beautiful countryside. Local maps are kept which guests are welcome to borrow.
