Beechlands Bed and Breakfast is an Edwardian house situated in the village of Sleights, just 3 miles from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast.
We offer comfortable non-smoking rooms in our lovely B&B in Sleights, with complimentary hostess tray and colour TV. Our substantial breakfast includes fruit juice, various cereals, full English breakfast using fresh local products, plentiful tea or coffee and toast with a choice of preserves. We also offer a choice of dishes including vegetarian and vegan options. We have an attractive garden to sit in and easy parking
In the village there are 2 pubs, a café, Butcher, Baker, General Store, Post Office, Fish & Chip Restaurant, and a popular garden centre with a riverside café. There is a bus stop and train station 5 minutes walk from the house, where there are regular services to Whitby, York and Middlesbrough.

See the miles of purple heather, walk along the stunning sea cliffs, visit beautiful beaches and the picturesque moorlands. With a beautiful National Park, there is plenty of wildlife, woodlands, streams, waterfalls, historic buildings and picturesque villages to discover. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway covers 18 miles through the National Park and stops at the village of Sleights. It's a stunning place to visit with plenty of charm and character
Beechlands is a good base to visit some of the beautiful places in the area. Days can be spent visiting coastal towns and villages: Whitby, Scarborough, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay.
Inland there are the North Yorkshire Moors to explore and many picturesque villages to visit. A few minutes drive from Beechlands is the popular village of Goathland, where you can sometimes watch them filming the TV series Heartbeat. There are many walks in the surrounding area, Other traditional villages to visit nearby are Thornton le Dale, Lockton, Levisham and Grosmont, Rosedale, Farndale and Hutton-le-Hole
