Rickwood is a family run guest house/b&b in Portpatrick in the South West corner of Scotland.. We are currently ranked no 1 of 9 B&Bs in Portpatrick by TripAdvisor. We also won the HotelReview Scotland 2008 award for Best Scottish Guest House for a Warm Scorttins Welcome!!

We have a residents licence and we can provide delicious home cooked evening meals if requiired.

We offer all our guests a virtually unlimited supply of delicious home made shortbread in addition to the hospitality tray in each room.

Although our officiial VisitScotland grading is 3*, most of our rooms are of 4* standard. All our rooms are en-suite, some with baths and most have sea views.

We describe ourselves as a hotel style guest house as we offer some of the facilities associated with a smal lhotel while providing the personla touches associated with a quality guest house.

Portpatrick is an ideal centre for touring the Rhins of Galloway peninsula and surrounding area including the Mull of Galloway, Scotland`s most southerly point..It is also handy for a day trip to Belfast or visiting Ayr

We are situated near to DUnskey Golf COurse where we can arrange discounts for our guests. Discounts are also available at two other nearby golf courses.

Portpatrick is also surrounded by many beautiful gardens including the famous Logan Botanical Garden.

We are also at the start of the Southern Upland Way the first teo miles of which is along a spectacular cliff-top path to Killantringan Lighthouse and makes an ideal walk for a spare morning.

We are also fortunatle in Portpatrick to have several excellent restaurants in the village, while The Crown usually has live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights.
